BushFire Plan

PRINT YOUR PLAN IN CASE OF POWER/DEVICE FAILURE

Most people who die in bushfires are caught in the open, either in their car or on foot, because they've left their property too late, when the fire is approaching. Failure to plan or prepare increases the risk of injury, loss of life and damage to assets.

THIS TEMPLATE IS TO DOCUMENT PLANNING OUTCOMES, IT IS NOT A SET OF REFERENCE MATERIALS, PLANNING PROCESSES OR TOOLS. WHEN DEVELOPING THIS PLAN REFER TO YOUR LOCAL FIRE AUTHORITY FOR GUIDANCE ON PLANNING AND OTHER RESOURCES.

NOTEl UNDER DEVELOPMENT TESTING. CAN PRINT BUT ENTRIES ARE NOT SAVED

  • Plan your route, drive away from known fires, avoid narrow, tree or scrub lined routes
  • Use a reliable vehicle with sufficient fuel, dress appropriately and take woolen (or fire) blankets
